Customized Services

Radon does not care if your home is new, old, big, small, or in a “nice” neighbourhood. It cares about soil, foundation details, and air pressure. Our services are built around those realities, not around a one-size-fits-all package.

Residential Radon Testing

Overview

We offer both short-term and long-term testing options that follow Health Canada’s guidelines for residential dwellings. Long-term tests of at least three months during the heating season provide the best basis for decisions; shorter tests are useful for screening and real estate timelines.

Typical Price Range

Most professional radon tests in Canada cost roughly $100 to $300 depending on device type and whether we use on-site continuous monitors or long-term lab-analyzed devices.

Testing Options (Residential)

Short Term

Short-term continuous monitor testing – ideal for quick screening or real-estate decisions. Devices typically remain in place for 2–7 days and give time-stamped data so we can see daily patterns.

Long Term

Long-term heating-season testing – lab-analyzed devices stay in your home for at least 90 days, giving a reliable annual average for decision-making.

Combining Short & Long Term

Combined strategy – a fast initial test followed by long-term confirmation if levels are borderline or if you plan major renovations.

Every test includes a written report, explanation call if you want it, and clear next steps.

Radon Mitigation Systems

Overview

If your long-term radon level is above 200 Bq/m³, Health Canada recommends taking action, with quicker timelines when levels exceed 600 Bq/m³.

We design and install mitigation systems that reduce radon levels by creating negative pressure under your slab or crawlspace and safely venting radon above the roof.

Typical Price Range

Most Calgary mitigation systems fall between about $1,500 and $3,000 plus GST, depending on foundation type, number of suction points, fan size, and finish details.

Large or complex homes can be higher, and very simple situations can be lower. You’ll see a project-specific range before we even book the install, and a firm quote after on-site diagnostics.

System Types We Work With

  • Sub-slab depressurization through slab or sump.
  • Crawlspace solutions with membrane and depressurization.
  • Combination systems for split levels and additions.

What You Get

  • On-site diagnostics and design.
  • Professional installation, typically completed in one day.
  • Post-mitigation testing plan and clear instructions.
  • System performance guarantee as outlined on the About page.

New Builds & Renovations

Overview

Radon is cheapest to manage before concrete is poured and finishes are installed. The National Building Code now includes provisions to make radon mitigation easier in new buildings; many builders still treat this as a checkbox instead of an opportunity to build a better home.

Services

  • Design and specification for radon rough-ins in new homes.
  • Review of plans and site conditions before construction.
  • Verification testing after occupancy to confirm performance.
  • Consulting on radon-ready features for renovation projects.
