Is Your Family at Risk
from Invisible Radon?
Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas that can enter your home through the foundation and build up to dangerous levels without you ever knowing.
Did You Know?
- Radon has no distinct smell and no visible signs
Radon is the leading cause of lung cancer in non-smokers in Canada
Standard home inspections do not typically test for it
Both newer & older homes in Calgary can have high levels of Radon
Neighbourhood does not guarantee safety
Long-term exposure increases your risk significantly
The only way to know your level is to measure it
One-size-fits-all solutions may not work for your home.

Why Royal Radon?
Certified Mitigation
Royal Radon offers C-NRPP compliant mitigation. That means your home is assessed and fixed using methods recognized across Canada for safety and effectiveness.
Transparent Price Ranges
Most professional radon tests in Canada fall between about $100 and $300 depending on method and device.
Most Calgary radon mitigation systems land between roughly $1,500 and $3,000, with complex homes sometimes higher.
We publish realistic ranges up front and give firm quotes before any work starts.
Guaranteed Results
Our mitigation systems are designed to bring your home below the Canadian guideline and, in most cases, into the low double-digits. If a system we install doesn’t drop levels as promised, we come back and make it right at our cost.
Local Focus: Calgary & Surrounding Area
Radon risk depends on geology, construction type, and how your home is used. Calgary and nearby communities see a significant number of homes above the guideline; long-term surveys show about 7% of Canadian homes are over 200 Bq/m³ and no region is “radon-free.”
We focus our entire service area on Calgary and its surrounding communities so we can respond quickly and design systems that work for housing unique to our environment.
How It Works
Assess
Book an online consultation. We review your home layout, how you use your basement, and any previous tests. We recommend short-term, long-term, or combined testing based on Health Canada guidance.
Measure
We will recommend professional-grade devices that you can use to monitor current radon levels in your home, both short term and long term. If you need support through this phase, count on Royal Radon to provide it.
Explain
You get a written report in plain language, including your average radon level, how it compares to the 200 Bq/m³ guideline, and what Health Canada recommends at your level.
Fix
If mitigation is needed, we design a system tailored to your home, provide a clear quote range before coming onsite, and install in about a day in most homes. Typical systems use sub-slab depressurization with a quiet exterior fan venting radon safely above the roofline.
Verify
Post-mitigation testing confirms the system is doing its job. We keep you in the loop with easy-to-read before/after data and recommendations for future re-testing.
